digital Leica M9-P owned and used by famous Magnum photographer Ian Berry. Mr Berry made his reputation in South Africa, where he worked for the Daily Mail and later for Drum magazine. He was the only photographer to document the massacre at Sharpeville in 1960, and his photographs were used in the trial to prove the victims’ innocence. The camera is engraved with his name on the back of top plate, it is in very fine and working condition. Included in this set is sought-after Summilux-M Aspherical 1.4/35mm no.3459754 (cond. B-, front markings blackened by the photographer, incl. near mint hood, caps and matching maker's box), outer box for the camera signed by Ian Berry
