GOMZ / GOI Reporter prototype *

The legendary Reporter camera by GOMZ was a medium format press camera inspired by the Zeiss Ikon Deckrullo-Nettel. It was produced between 1937-1940. After WWII, around 1946-47 GOI factory together with GOMZ tried to reanimate the project by introducing an upgraded version with coupled rangefinder and a central shutter. Only one prototype is known to exist. The offered camera is in excellent condition, it is equipped with a fast, medium format GOI Industar 29 2.8/8cm no.4405 (covering up to 6x9cm). It also comes with a previously unknown rollfilm magazine with the GOMZ logo. It is a very interesting piece from Soviet photo history.
