The Pioneer VOOMP model showcased here, crafted in 1935, represents VOOMP's endeavour to align with contemporary trends and compete with Leica, which had by then transitioned to using chrome finish. In a departure from its traditional use of plating, this camera features high gloss nickel-plated main parts — a rarity both before and after this model. This specific high gloss plating variation is exceedingly rare, with only a handful of examples known to exist, it comes with an unnumbered Voomp 2-D 3.5/50mm in a more traditional finish.
