Very interesting Elmar, some famous Leica specialists have cited this exact lens as having a new optical design typical of later ‘red scale’ lenses, P. H. van Hasbroeck 'The Leica: A History Illustrating Every Model And Accessory' p.194, D. Laney 'Leica: Collector Guide' p.226, in absolutely mint condition, optics only showing discrete cleaning marks, with both caps.
