Very rare and early brass portrait lens engraved 'CHARLES-CHEVALIER Palais Royal, 158 Paris’, total height 12.5cm, front diameter: 5.5cm, with both glass elements, for portraits and landscapes and front aperture blade marked 'Portraits et paysages', slide front cap shutter, in original condition with good lenses (rear lens with minimal separation on the edge).
