A motion-picture camera used by Cosmonaut Georgi T. Beregovoy on board Soyuz 3. Proposed in 1993 at the famous 'Russian Space History' auction in New York, together with other major historical artefacts from the early soviet space odyssey. The camera is mounted with a Mercury-2 2.5/50mm no.0067 and an Oks1-10T 2.8/10mm no.00070 integrated flood-lamp and shooting indicator light. The right-hand plaque on the grip is incised in white (in Russian) 'To V.P. Mishin, as a memorial of telereportage from space. From the cosmonaut'. Mishin recalls that Beregovoy was not authorized to take it back from space, he took a risk, taking it with him on landing, as it could have caused his craft to be overweight, the camera weighs around 3kg! In good condition, operation not tested, and comes with the auction catalogue and newspaper articles from the period of the auction.
