Leica 72 18x24mm Midland
Very rare and early original Leica 72 Midland Ontario in beautiful, mint condition, shutter needs attention, with meter scaled Elmar 3.5/5cm no.730415, optics showing some cleaning marks, front lens cap. The Leica 72 was the only half-frame Leica model to go into serial production, it takes 72 exposures on a regular 35mm film (the frame counter goes up to 75). The earliest experimental Leica half-frame cameras date back to the 1940s when the film was scarce and valuable. Only 150 units were built at the Leitz factory in Midland, Ontario (Canada), undeniably a highly sought-after collector’s item, here in outstanding condition!
