Conrad Barnack 'Das Buch von der Leica'

An original manuscript of a never-published book written by the son of Oskar Barnack. Written in German, the book bears two titles: on the cover of the order it is called 'Das Buch von der Leica' (The Book of Leica), on the first page it was corrected to 'Die Erfindung der Leica' (The invention of the Leica). The author describes the content of the book as 'A portrait of the life of Oscar Barnack, the creator of the Leica, and a look back at the history of the Leica'. The manuscript contains 45 pages with 1 to 15 being a biographic story of Oskar Barnack and 17-45 a witty written practical manual. The book was never published and is widely unknown, it is an important document from the history of Leica and its inventor - Oskar Barnack.
